3 categories to enjoy a short read of today!

LADIES:
Ever since I've started drawing, I shied away from drawing females because I was never any good at it and each time I tried, the result sucked and I just felt crap and drew something different instead. Well, recently I've been reading the Witchblade comics and they're awesome. I thought it's time I shed my avoidance of drawing chicks so I spent days drawing nothing but naked ladies. It was a good few days. Anyhow as a result I discovered I was using a really bad approach, my male and female drawing in the past used the same or similar construction lines (with altered proportions). Instead I have now developed a unique feminine construction method with style borrowed from other comic artists for reference. I now don't feel i need to avoid them at all and feel much more confident with my attempts at the female anatomy! For a visual example of the change, Here's what my chick's used to look like, and Here's how they started looking after a week's practice. It's not perfect but it's a long shot better!

LAYOUT:
Very soon sites like Newgrounds and ArmorGames will be revealing their hard-worked-on website re-designs. Well, the old 'JazzaStudios' layout was pretty stale too, not to mention NOT UPDATED FOR OVER A YEAR (broken back end codes my designer never fixed >:C ). Well after being fed up with this for far too long Lochie helped me by coding my new design into reality with a REALLY sexy new back end, so I can update! I'm back, with weekly webcomics, and much more frequent games art and animations! So please check out the brand new JAZZASTUDIOS

which brings me to my next topic...

LOCHIE:
This suave son-of-a-gun deserves an incredible amount of gratitude, as he has been so helpful and shared with me his immense talent to create the website from scratch, asking nothing but hugs and a plug to promote his blockbuster game Super Norris.

PLEASE for the love of Zeus, go thank this gentleman, because I owe him a lot, and any sexy updated you get from me on my site will be directly because of his awesomeness, and may I add, 13 inch penis, which he is extremely skilled with. In fact if memory serves, he has two. Two large manly penises.

<3 Lochie!

Thanks guys, until next time... *witty closing remark*

MasterAardvark (of Pigpen Fame), Lochie (of Super Norris fame) and I had a nice fun stream for 10 hours which this post was initially made for, which you missed out on.

So here's a picture of a furby.

I'm no expert, but I have noticed a lack of voice acting tutorials out there for the people who ask almost all the same questions, so I thought I'd attempt making one myself.

If you've ever PM'd me and asked me questions regarding voice acting, my answers are in here, If you're an experienced voice actor, it's always good to share ideas so let me know your thoughts. If you don't care about voice acting at all, mute the sound and watch my retarded face.

For those of you who do not know, I (and a team of 14 talented individuals) have been working on a VERY large RPG game for the last 10 months, some of the people involved are Moonkey (code), Zeedox (3D art), Adam Ipsen (Writer), Jouste and Kamikaye (art) and many more.

We recently exhibited parts of the game at AVcon in Adelaide to thousands of people who were very interested. The game is in isometric view similar to diablo/baldur's gate, and has an extensive alignment/reputation system so that the way you play your character will result in drastically different story paths and one of many different endings. The game will also feature extensive combat, items, locations, and plot twists.

While we are still a ways off completion, I thought I'd post here to mention the convention, the fact that the game's still heavily worked on, and later this year we will be beta testing.

If you would like to be part of the BETA testing team, join the facebook page. The BETA invitations will be managed there as will images, updates and trailers in the time leading up to release.

wish us luck!

GAME JAM 5:

I was part of an awesome team for NG game jam 5, the theme was literature and we chose to make a game based on the book Robinson Crusoe. Hope you like it, it was made in 3 days from start to finish.

ORTUS AT AVCON:

AVcon is the Adelaide convention for Anime and Video Games. Zeedox has hooked us up with a booth in the indie games section to show off the development of Ortus and give a little more info on details of the game and it's release. If you live in Adelaide or are planning on going to AVcon, please drop by and say hi! :D

When I was at Pico Day chilling out maxing and relaxing all cool, some of the little group conversation I was in at one point turned to religion and I mentioned that I'm no longer a Christian. I was actually taken aback that some people were surprised by this, but when I think about it, I've never mentioned anything of the like since my previous posts on newgrounds, including the time I left for a year to do missionary work for my (previous) church.

I don't wanna get all nostalgic or sappy, but I figure it's about time I put it out there to oppose my older posts and clarify my current stance, as if it mattered. which it doesn't.

So there it is. I now openly allow other atheists to welcome me to the train of thought that i'll die and be forgotten, and Christians to tell me why their loving God will send me to hell for critical thinking, and why their denomination of belief is the one and only way to happiness.

we've released Battle for Wayland Keep on the portal :)

As you can tell it's got a rather large team behind it, but the most important thing for you to understand is how this game has come about.

Ever since last September, that large team has been working on a very big game called 'Ortus' which we have created editors and powerful back end tools for. In April we decided to use some of these tools to produce a 'prelude' game (for a few reasons, both to add depth to the story of Ortus, and to break up our work load a little). We made Battle for Wayland Keep in 2.5 weeks from start to finish using the tools we've been building.

We hope you enjoy Battle for Wayland Keep, but even more importantly, get excited for Ortus. To explain briefly, Ortus has FAR more depth then BWK, Players will be allowed to make their own character and play how they want, being completely good, evil, or anything in between. There is an insanely deep and cool story with MANY paths to follow to reach one of the many different endings, there is a vast variety of customization and variance in weapons and clothing, and locations are vast in size and number.

We're still working and it's months away still (we'll be done this year) but we're trying to make the best, most in depth possible free flash RPG ever. :)

Go thank Adam for all his hard work and welcome him to the newgrounds community. He's sacrificed SO much in making Ortus what it will be. (not to mention the other 14 hard working participants)

New game, and an Upcoming Game
