Ok so I finally saw that mystical and educational video by Rebecca Black that's sweeping the world by storm.

Nothing in the history of mankind has ever called to be mocked so brutally as this, which is a shame coz she's probably a nice girl with a great personality, but regardless, I was doubly inspired to take the piss out of that *cough* song (with the help of zstriefel who did some nice mixing for me).

My Fried Eggs parody song

aaand my re-dub of the original video. Enjoy.

I hesitated as to whether or not I should share this song on the audio portal, let's face it, some people can be heartless dickheads with nothing better to do than piss people off. In the end I decided to upload it because Alexandra, my best friend from high school who died last week, was an amazing person. So I'm sharing it hoping you might get something out of it if you care to listen.

I'll post some more game updates in the next week or so for those who'd rather hear about that stuff. Also, this Japan stuff has just gotten worse and worse, seriously, wtf. the planets just having some major diarrhea right now. 2.5 months in and thousands already dead from natural disasters. geez.

Before I get to the teaser, let me first say THANK YOU so much for your concern and donations over the last month. I acknowledge it was not necessary that you go through the page i set up to donate to the Australian relief effort but it was satisfying to see how much NG could do when we put our efforts in together, and together we raised over $2,600 which is a wonderful thing, so thank you! I will be taking ALL of the money raised to the official (real official this time) government donations page. Once again, thank you!

The Teaser Trailer for an upcoming game I'm directing and working on has been released on Machinima. The game will be a VERY big story based single player isometric RPG, currently being worked on by a team of around 15 people, many working full time to bring you the best and biggest free flash game possible.

Trailer Music and SFX: Symphony of Specters

the title is not misleading at all.

My team for the newgrounds game jam consisting of Moonkey on code and SpikeValentine sharing the job of art and sound with me, created our entry from the theme "Skulls collecting Human Dogs".

PLAY HERE, and enjoy guys!

also for those who missed my last news post, there's still 10 days left to donate to the Australian disaster support, so far we've raised over 2,500 dollars and I'm SUPER proud of you guys! if you got a few bucks in your paypal you're not doing anything with please consider contributing to the combined newgrounds effort!

Some of you may be aware, but to those of you who are not, in the last month alone, Australia has been severely effected by horrific natural disasters, the recovery of which will not only take billions of dollars out of our economy, but have torn apart homes, farms and crops, possessions, and the lives of many good Australians.

I recently set up a simple place where you can donate any money you are willing to spare to help provide relief to those who need it. 100% of funds raised will go directly to the cause of aiding in recovery from such disasters.

If you have a few dollars sitting in a paypal account or credit card you don't know what to do with, please consider donating it today to help people who could really use it!

once again, here's the page i set up to gather donations from the online community:

Australian Disaster Support

Most notable of such destructive forces have been:

- The recent Queensland floods, submerging land mass larger then Germany and France combined

- "Cyclone Yasi", having just hit in early (3rd) February, the biggest cyclone to EVER hit Australian soil, and at the time it hit, was of the same category of power as hurricane Katrina

- Fires raging on east and west coasts of the continent, relentlessly destroying homes and towns in their paths

If every member of Newgrounds donated $1, that alone would rebuild entire houses, perhaps even farms. Imagine what a little from everyone can do to help recover!

100% of funds raised will be donated to supporting the relief efforts in Australia, NONE of your money will go astray, and i assure you, will be received with grateful hearts and hands. Help out a country that has provided Newgrounds with talent like Adam Phillips, Hania and James Lee, Sexual-Lobster, Master Samus, Rubber Ninja, MasterAardvark and TheBoogley and many more!

and so, I say in the spirit of us Australians:
"where the bloody hell are ya?!"

A chance to help out!

As some might be aware from my other posts, I'm producing an extremely large and ambitious flash game titled "Ortus" with a team of 13-15 people.

Unfortunately our previous Special Effects animator is no longer able to be a part of the team, so I'm extending an open invitation to anyone with the skills. The job is paid and the game itself is extremely ambitious, and will be a worthy use of your time. the game itself is an isometric RPG, similar in ways, to games like Baldur's Gate and Diablo.

Following are details to the position, and the role it plays

- animated special effects for in game mechanics (spells, blasts, gore, etc)
- icon design for spells and ability icons

- skilled in visually creating and animating elemental imagery (fire, ice, blood, etc)
- adept in recent versions of flash (CS3 to CS5)
- hard working, and timely creation of needed game aspects
- regularly available, and enthusiastic!

If you are interested in being an important part of what may very well be one of the biggest flash games of this year, produced by Armorgames and Jazzastudios, do the following:

Email me: jazza (at) jazzastudios.com
Pease include in your email:
- links to (or attached) what you feel are the best representations of your abilities in flash, particularly in the realm of special effects
- a little about yourself, why you feel you are the one for the job, and if possible, any previous experience you may have had in the online flash/game industry

If you're unsure weather or not to apply, just apply, I need to see as many possibilities as I can, I'm most interested in someone with the skills and enthusiasm to get the job done on time, and a good team player.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
