This is my favorite of your pictures, this guy just looks so badass! Your shading and portrayal of anatomy is really well done. I recommend taking a picture like this and trying to replicate somethign as dramatic in a different pose or angle, see how much you can keep it looking the same in its form and drama, while challenging your sense of shape perception. Thanks for sharing!

Coming along well, your linework and exprossions are solid. Try challenging yourself next and drawing them on different angles, perhaps with some bodies or interacting. As a first step you're doing well, let's see what you can do when you keep challenging yourself! Thanks for sharing

I like the style here, it looks slick and solid. Your use of lighting and shadow works well, and the character has a cute style about him. Some of the shading in the ground seems a little rushed and unbalanced, its barely noticable, but it looks like you shaded the ground with the cloud filter in photoshop, which could potentially come across as lazy. I'd think shading it more like how you did the tree in the background would work well. All over, a great pic, thanks for sharing :)

Thanks Jazza.
But you know what's funny?
I had no intention on shading the grass.
I didnt actually mean to put the cloud filter with the grass.
I just found it out accidentally when I added multiply on the grass.
And decided to leave it there. xD

Considering the fact that you're 13 years old, this is very great work! I can see you've challenged yourself in trying a new medium, and attempting new styles, like not using linework, and these are very positive things to keep doing to progress. Try new things and methods and you'll learn a lot, very quickly. A few thingsa you could keep in mind, water is a VERY tricky thing to paint, I have trouble with it every time I attempt it, in this picture your water looks a little like smoke vapor. Try making the edge of the water, where it comes into contact with objects, a little more solid and wrapped around the subject. Also make the object itself, in this case the girl, less visible when in the water, and even try distorting the parts visible underwater (with something like the liquify tool). Great work, keep it up, and thanks for sharing!

This is looking pretty good! The overal feel is solid, nice and refined, you have especially good use of light and creating a glowing feel. The figure looks a little rigid and the lines a little too angular in places, I also think this picture lends itself to a bit more detail and contrast in the shading, but overall you've done very well, thanks for sharing!

This is looking good! Your use of shading in the red areas is well done! Your anatomy and proportions could use a little work but that all comes with time and practice. Nice choice of subject matter too I might say ;) Keep it up and thanks for sharing!

Thank you Jazza! Yeah with the anatomy, this was before I started studying it, I just made up the anatomy for this as I went.

This is really simplistic but perfect for what it's doing. the proportions and style of the central figure are great and very fluid, and while the city in front of him is simple in its presentation, the detail and intricacy of how its all laid out is painstakingly intricate and well executed. Awesome work, thanks for sharing!

Cheers for the great critique :D

Whoa you totally had me fooled! I thought you trolled me and just sent me a photo of a cake. Nice work, you obviously achieved what you set out to do, haha! I like this, there are noticable parts of it where you can clue into it being a painting due to slight lack of detail but overall this is cool and quirky, good job! It would have been a good practice session for painting from life. Thanks for sharing

FaKanza responds:

Again Jazza thank you for your review :)

This is well done! style fits the game's very well and is a perfect tribute. There are parts of it I'd think being a little less 'rough' with the shading lines would work in its favor, but overall this is well done and entertainging, keep it up and thanks for sharing!
