This piece is proof that you don't need quantity in your image as you do style and quality. Your technique is solid and overall the image is cute and well done. It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. The style captured is the highlight for me, keep up the good work :)

Your picture isn't bad, but its presentation is lackluster. Be wary of misrepresenting your image - no matter how much work you put into it, if it's not properly optimized, a traditional image that isn't properly transferred into the digital format will look worse than it could, which is a shame to the work put into the image. I've created a video tutorial on addressing this issue, feel free to check it out on youtube (/watch?v=gJrgnxKehso). Keep up the effort and thanks for sharing :)

Simple but effective, your linework and coloring are solid and clean. I'd recommend staying away from photoshop les flares though, otherwise, you've done well. Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The background you've got here is simple, but appropriate, and much better than excluding a background all together like many other pieces I see seem to do. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing

This piece is simple and isn't clearly, to me, communicating much. Is it zelda fan art? (I see a triforce!) That aside, its cleanly executed and well composed, just simple and doesn't offer much richness for a viewer to enjoy or discover. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing :)

Holy sh- did I not get to this piece too late I would have made it the showcase feature for sure! But, as it obviously deserves, it's been front paged on its own merit. I have nothing but admiration for thie piece and everything about it. Its color, composition, concept, and technical execution. Astounding. Added to favorites - for gods sake keep making art! :D

Jazza, thanks a lot for the kind words. They alwasy mean so much coming from you. I understnd you get a bunch of PMs everyday, so no worries if you get to it late. I'm happy enough you got to it eventually =]
And hey, if you still want to show it on your show, that'd be ok with me, haha!

It's great to see you taking feedback and trying to improve, and I hope you notice the difference because it really just brings the whole piece to a new level. Great job! I'm gonna stay away from giving any more criticism on this piece, I think you've improved it a lot and I look forward to seeing the new ways in which you'll challenge yourself. Keep up the great work!

though it would welcome criticism on my art since i aim to become much better^^

Nice work, the style is simple but the technique is definitely solid. I like the composition and how well balanced it all is. Your painting quality/style is really great, smooth and visually appealing. You have a good grasp of your technique and know how to make your work stand out with it. The background you've got here is simple, but appropriate, and much better than excluding a background all together like many other pieces I see seem to do. You've done well overall, thanks for sharing and keep up the good work :)

Zimatrix responds:

Thanks Jazza :) very kind words there, I'm really glad you liked my piece enough to make it a part of your showcase.

Keep making awesome videos!

Haha cute - and yet horrifying! ;) Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The painting style is solid and works well in its simplicity. This piece is decent, it effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Thanks for sharing, keep it up! :)

Good job! Drawing something you're unfamiliar with (females in this case) can be very difficult. Trust me I know the feeling. Simply because it's never as solid as the subject matter we're more comfortable with. I will say this isn't perfect, but I will also say it's a great early attempt and you should keep going because you have clear potential. It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. You've done well, so keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing :)
