I like this, its creepy, but really well drawn. The circle/square lens areas enhance and add interest to the piece. Your use of shadow and shape is well understood and executed, so great work. I'd recommend trying to enhance the image after scanning it, to make things a little higher resolution and clearer, mess with the brightness and contrast etc, and crop it properly. Well done, keep it up :)

This piece is incredibly simple, and yet pleasing to look at. The building is simple, the layout and composition is simple and minimalistic, but the minimal use of color and shape are done so in a way that is easy on the eyes and nice! Good job. I'd like to see how you go doing a core complicated piece - good luck!

Zeviix responds:

Thanks for the feedback Jazza, I will start working on something more complicated soon :)

Good job, I can tell you're paying particular attention to anatomy and shading, good work there. The proportions feel pretty solid and well done. The texturing could be better, the flat background and texture overlay on the shorts look a little cheap, always remember when using texture overlay, that less is more. If you make it too strong it becomes apparent that it's being used to 'fake' detail you didn't create, whereas if you use it like a garnish on a meal, as a light enhancement, the whole piece will life. Great work, keep it up!

What a fantastic artwork! I have nothing negative I can say about this, its just blown me away. First of all the theme and composition are original and very well executed. Incredible use of soft lights and colors. Your use of cell shading is really well done, the character expressions, and emotional communication in this piece. I feel like I'm watching a scene play out in front of me and it's totally believable. I'm adding you and this piece to my favorites, and look forward to seeing more!

Oh man, thank you so much! You have no idea how much this means to me, since you're one of my favorite artists. Also, thank you so much for the feature, it definitely put a smile on my face and gave my self esteem a huge boost :)

Haha this is a cute picture. You convey a clear feeling of emotional style, even though your drawing is still rough as you are learning. For a first digital painting you've done very well, keep up the good work!

Nice work! For your first artwork you've done very well. Did you copy or trace this, or draw from scratch? What is it a reference to? Your use of lines and color is clean and well done, great work, keep it up!

i copied the design. thanks for reviewing my work :)

Nice compisition, the whole image is simple, but without many complications it has a nice feel to it. The strong contrast helps it pop out more, and you've done very well in making the mouth area look nice and slimy and sticky, hence the title I suppose ;) The picture does feel somewhat lacking but I can't pinpoint what or why, its nothing major though to keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

Spotsifier responds:

Thanks again for your time and knowledge, your advice is brilliant and spurs me on to create more compositions with your comments in mind =)

Very cool! You continue to be ambitious which is very very good, you'll improve very fast if you keep going at this rate! Your composition here as great, great colors, well positioned shadows and highlights etc. The goot looks a little off, it can be hard to get right, and the face feels slightly misproportioned (eyes a bit too close together and other similar but small size management issues). Overall you've done well, keep up the great work!

Frissyboy responds:

thank you :D and yes I have some issues that I can work on :D

Stunning attention to detail! The composition is very clever, and respect of course because Michael Jackson is a total badass. Really great work here, keep it up!

This is a great example of both simplicity and complexity. The simplicity is in the pose and shapes, everything is well set up and very clearly communicated, and yet the image is quite complex, you show here a very clear understanding of how light bounces of certain materials like metal, and where shadow would be very strong. The character's silhouette is very refined and well done, I have nothing negative to say about this image, however I'm curious to see what else you can do! Keep up the great work.
