Nice work. You're good with female proportions and poses, keep it up! The drawing is great to the point that the thing letting it down is presentation. Perhaps you could work on wither making sure the traditional artwork is scanned and doctored to best reprisent the original, or perhaps attempt creating the artwork digitally. Good job, thanks for sharing!

McDerpy responds:

Yes I'm working on the scanning part, trying for the best results. Thanks for your thoughts! :)

Ooh creepy! I didn't know being slothful was such a creepy thing to do... Maybe I should sit around less.. Good image tone, creative idea and execution. The form could feel more solid, and the overall image could be higher quality in its presentation, but youve done a good job overall, thanks for sharing, keep it up!

Great work! You seem to have good instincts with proportions and pose, keep challenging yourself and I bet you improve very fast. Also the shading and linework was well done. I look forward to seeing what you can do on a non-lined piece oif paper with a little higher quality transfer from traditional to a digital image. Keep it up!

Thank you!

Love it! Great linework and stylistic character design, fantastic shading and environment layout, and the overall colors and balance work very much in favor of the image. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the review Jazza! I'm glad you like it!!
You are one artist that has inspired me and a lot of people.

You're obviously very skilled in using traditional art methods! I'm curious to see how you go with a tablet. Otherwise if you prefer and gravitate to traditional art, keep working hard, but make sure that how you show the picture is huge priority too, make sure the scan quality is high, and that you optimise the image for upload after. You've done well here, great shading and proportions and framing. Keep it up!

Haha clever idea. Your painting is pretty good for someone making their first photoshop painting, you will improve over time but it seems that you have good instincts, so keep it up!

Interesting piece this one! It took me 10-20 seconds to figure out what it was, and now that I see it I really like it and kind of like that its so unique I didn't understand it at first. I see it as a kind of rayman/madness like character design, the no-arm kind of character, and the proportions and way its painted are really clever and stylistic. Great work, keep it up!

Revolutsia responds:

Thanks! I did play Rayman Origins to death (As in 100% Completion), so that may have unconsciously weaved itself in as you said.

Your linework looks good, you've missed a few places in your coloring in, make sure to not leave anything behind! Also the character is slanted a bit too strongly to the right, try flipping the image when you've done the construction lines and before you draw the final linework, to make sure the proportions and composition are even. Keep up the good work!

You composition looks simple but nice! The hair flow works well. Digital tablets can be tricky to get used to, the more you use it the better you'll get though, so keep it up!

Great work! For your first digital painting you're doing very well! Just keep going! I'm not gonna say anything negative about this pic because the thing best communicated here is how clear your potential is, so keep working, I look forward to seeing what you do!
