Nice work, lacking in some detail but the overall feel is well executed and smooth. It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. This piece is decent, it effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me! :)

LitPower responds:

Wow, thanks a lot Jazza, hopefully when I decide to do a future piece of work I will improve on it, and thanks for the review! :)

Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The way you mixed the linework (black lines) and the linework cross-hatched style colors is interesting and works pretty well overall. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

MelanieDarling responds:

Aw - just saw your last showcase where you mention the no-text bug.. unfortunate. But thanks anyway for your time and the vote :)

Nice! The colors balance well and have a soft feel, the linework is neat and well done, though a little weak/faded overall. The pose and composition come together quite well. This piece is decent, it effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

Thank you for taking the time to review my work Jazza! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!

For a beginner you're doing really well, keep doing what you're doing and keep yourself motivated and you'll see improvement comes quite quickly! This piece is decent, it effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. The linework is in need of improvement, nothing major, it just lacks solidity in areas and is a bit rough. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

Woa :D thanks Jazza for this hoinest and truly nice critique i have just begun taking up painting and trying my best to pick up my english a little more but its hard thou even thou i use it as much as i can it can still be hard to explain what i want to say correctly. As my writing and spelling skills isnt so good as they used to be a few years back. I will still try to use it more.

I know i shouldn,t ask for revivews from you but i wanted to at least try to get an awnser to perhaps pick my motivation up even more to continue drawing even thou it feels hard i know that if i want to become as good as i want i must learn and let it take time.

PS. Thanks again for making this review. You made me Really happy that you took YOUR precius time doing it. IF i can help you in any way just send a pm To me and i will help you as best i can.

Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The coloring of this piece lacks clarity, the overall feel is murky, which could be aleviated with more intense lighting and contrast, parhaps some rim lighting. This piece is decent, itl effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

Thank you for reviewing my art and for giving me an honest opinion. Your comment turned out blank, but I saw you explain that in your newest showcase. This is my newest digital artwork, I'm still getting use to drawing digitally and have had no proper art/design teacher. I don't have Photoshop yet cause I'm broke as hell, I made this in Paint.net, best I can afford right now. But giving me 2.5 Stars tells me you gave me an honest opinion, and I really needed that. Hope you get that commenting error fixed soon, and expect to see more work from me, I'll improve eventually

It's clear to me that you really challenged yoruself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. The background environment you've got here is simple, but appropriate, and much better than excluding a background all together like many other pieces I see seem to do. This piece is decent, itl effectively conveys what you are trying to go for, so good work. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

It really really means a lot coming from you Jazza! :) Thanks for your time to review my art. I really appreciate that. :)

I love the concept pieces you've created for this comic series! Not only is the composition of this piece appropriate, it's also stunningly clever and well thought out! The eye is led exactly as you want it to be, and visual interest is strong throughout, with a good balance of perspective and detail. The syle is consistent, the colors well balanced, the whole piece is just great. Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!

VincentVyce responds:

Thank you for the feed back. I am very glad you like it.

while I dont want to give away too much before I get the comic series published I have two other stand alone illustrations which show off the other two main characters which I would like to share.

Cheers Jazza

For a beginner you're doing really well, keep doing what you're doing and keep yourself motivated and you'll see improvement comes quite quickly! Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. Your image could be improved with more work on the environment, there isn't much happening here to compliment the piece. You might not need to add too much, but something simple to help balance the colors and lighting would significantly compliment your piece. Overall, a fair effort and good start, keep up the good work!

ThatGuyWithThePencil responds:

Thank you so much for the comment,Jazza.Even a few words from an artist like you really means a lot for me.I'll keep myself motivated and I'll show you my improvement.
Thanks a lot ;)

Oh how considerate of you to add the skulls just for me! haha. I'm glad your pushing your boundaries, I'm sure you're leaning how hard color can be to work with, especially considering the ambition of your lighting! Be wary when painting in your colors of using black - black is not a natural color. A shadow on or inside a yellow or blue object is not black, it is a darker shade of yellow or blue, and to paint black over top in many cases, is jarring to the natural feel of the colors. Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewers eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The painting style you have going on here lacks solidity, the edges are somewhat unrefined, but inside and on the outer edges of the shapes/characters. Don't be afraid to have some hard edges and contrast where they're needed. Overall you're doing really well! Keep up the effort, and thanks for sharing your work with me!
