I'm adding you to my favorites. You have such great technical skill and artistic instincts, I'm envious of your talent. Your accuracy in the image portrayal here is fantastic, and the selection of the image and the way you pulled it off the way you have is just beyond impressive. I can't wait to see more from you.

Disson4nce responds:

Thanks so much for the kind words, the favorite, and featuring this on your channel. I really appreciate it!

Great work! Thanks for the plug in the comments ;) Your execution here is very good, the main thing lacking is visual interest though. Some kind of environment or challenge in character perspective or pose. Your lines and colors are very solid and well done though so as a painting exercise you should be pleased! Keep it up!

ZaXo-KenIchi responds:

Thank you. Hopefully I can work more on actually implementing painted backgrounds soon.

And you're welcome :) Mentioning your artistic knowledge is the least I could do.

Welcome to newgrounds, and thanks for submitting to me for consideration for the showcase! This is a decent piece, it lacks a bit though which will come with time and practice. Your facial structure and solidity are lacking, I recommend finding a construction method that works good for you so you can give your figures more form and solidity. It's a visually interesting piece though and the character has a good expression and is composed in the image well. Keep it up!

MrQuincy87 responds:

thanks Jazza Im going to try more simple stuff to start, i tried making a unique looking anime character but im gonna first practice with basic easier characters. thanks and keep up the tutorials :)

this is a GREAT start to using Photoshop. What did you use before in your painted images? Anyhow, this image has great compositioning, good color balance and a strong pose. The shading could be more solid, but the image as a whole is interesting and well done, keep it up!

CrazyCreators responds:

The previous program that i used was SAI easy paint tool.
It was completely different than photoshop and it worked tottaly different so it was a little hard on learning it.
But i have to say it gives me a lot more than the previous and it makes more things easier :D
Thanks for the kind review again.Stay amazing :)

You have a great cartoony style which I look forward to seeing develop! This image while well drawn lacks visual interest, there is little to draw my attention in and keep me there. Your lines are clean, your coloring solid and composition strong, it just needs more to look at! Keep up the good work

ChewyHanSolo responds:

As always a great, positive critique. Good on ya Jazza!

As a drawing and painting exercise you've done very well! The form and figure are strong and while the lighting and color is minimal it's effective. I'd like to see what you can do with a more challenging theme/character or in adding an environment. Keep up the good work!

VanGelder responds:

Wow ! Thanks ! It means so much to me that you reviewed my draw, I mean, you're the one who inspired me to start the digital drawing. I'm not so good at environments but i'll give it a shot.
I'll be back with another ones !

Nice work! The drawing factor to this image is the style and clean linework, though it feels lacking dimension/depth. As a stylistic illustration it's quite good (if somewhat lacking in visual interest, which an environment or different lighting or more ambitious poses could fix), as a digital painting it could use more 3D form and lighting depth. Overall though you've done well and as a painting exercise you should feel it successful, and continue practicing! Its clear you have skill, so keep it up!

MrDoroh responds:

Thanks for critique, man! Going to work on my flaws and will keep on trying and trying.

The form and linework in this are simply astounding. Very impressive, the way you use the black lines and shapes to create such a sense of scale is fantastic. The color is minimal but it is not at all a detriment to the painting, in fact I feel it enhances the linework and intricate detail throughout. I'm very impressed and have nothing negative to say, keep up the awesome work! I look forward to seeing more!

radioactiveroach responds:

Thank you very much! Your response means a lot.

Nice work, I don't know if this was copied from a reference but your replication of the ambience of the fire is very well done and the time you spent on this piece shows. Keep up the good work! I'd like if the zoomed in version here a higher resolution though

Snakebreath responds:

It was a copy from a random picture on google, I actual began it as a simple fire study, but it started to look really nice so I rendered it a bit and came up with this, glad you like it!

Very cool armor design! Your proportions are a little off and could use some work, but it's not a major problem. The overall image is well balanced and well shaded. I recommend taking care in optimizing the image digitally before uploading since you want the contrast and clarity balance to be good. Keep up the good work :)

Vladislow responds:

thanks Jazza to response. I really appreciate it) I make some ( 7 or 8) different photos and that was two really nice, but first have a piece of table but good quality, second (uploaded) have a good view but quality have a little limp. ( I hope write all this text right, good luck and again, thanks for review)
