NEW SERIES announcement

Over the last year and a half while i have not been able to animate, i have still been planning and designing and scripting ready for when i can. I have planned and mapped out a new series, and this time (as opposed to the paladin series) I've got the plot ready from the first episode!

I've already designed HEAPS of characters, there's gonna be a big cast for this one, and it's a comedy series following Larry, the setting is fantasy medieval of course, and i've been animating it all week so far.

i'll be sure to keep you posted, as i'm working my patootie off to get you the best flash comedy i possibly can! If things go to plan, i hope to have this one ready to release before the end of September. I'll do my best.

For now, i have for you a screen-shot of the menu screen. YAAAAY.

Very nice screenshot of the menu. Hope the series is as good as you imagine it to be. By the way, how many episodes are you planning to have?

nothing set. how many episodes of the simpsons were planned? It's something where while still moving plots and character's developing, keeping mini stories within each episode. :)

The title for both the series and the episode is pretty lame, no offense. At least the art looks good.

changed the episode title to "a new kind of hero", but i aint changin the title of the series simply coz the subtitle quickly communicates that it's medieval, a comedy and that the main character has a growth defect. far easier then explaining it too much in the cartoon so new people to the series can grip it quickly enough.

plus, it's not the title that makes the animation, whod've thaught 'waterlollies' would be amazing were it not for adam phillips incredible work. mind you i'm NEVER comparing myself to him, but hey, just communicating a point :)

I'm very happy to see a new series on the rise, I was a big fan of Paladin. Hopefully it won't take you a year to do the final episode on this one, though. ;D

i plan to do 90% of the voices myself simply because having others do permanent roles when they may not be permanently available is not a risk i want to take however i do plan to have extras and 'now-and-then' characters i'd reach out for. thats later talk tho.

The background looks nice, but personally, Mr Larry there looks rather plain to me. The idea of a medieval comedy is also a little odd, i can only assume you plan to make it an "action comedy" but considering you also stated you want to have a large cast i cant help but feel it will follow a sitcom route, which seems to defy the point of making a medieval comedy in the first place, unless you think gags about swords are funny.

it's not going to end up baing a medieval seinfeild. just coz there'll be lots of people doesnt mean there wont be pleanty of blood.

larry was designed to look simple so he could be easier to animate in ACTION sequences to allow more ACTION animated.

give it a chance when it comes out mate, coz i aint a big animation company, i'm a 20 year old dude with a bung leg trying to entertain people.

really though, i DO hope you enjoy the end product.

I wonder if you will secertly put a castle crasher in one of your episodes just for NG!

yep, great idea, a caslte crasher knight is now in the script to appear in episode 1 :)
