My best friend became christian and then said a big fuck you to everything we use to do. I was bitter at first, but I got over it and realized that people are entitled to believe what they want. I wish he could understand that.

ive been agnostic for a while. what ive come to realise is theres people who are siding with power ...then theres everyone else pretty much average joe middle class and down. religion just seems like another tool for coping with the division. a tool which distracts and divides people further. i think dosnt make a bit of difference until the day everyone finds out the truth that is hidden from us.
or if atheists are right in which case the day nobody ever finds out. lol.
So, sorry for my lack of language but... Do you state that you were called an atheist or you're an atheist?
i'm an atheist
i also meant to mention its believers vs non believers with the satanic believers playing ref/spectator once were done killing each other off. they want their way of life to be the one and only.
Well then what about the people who really could care less about it all? Also...fuck.
I believe in God, I just don't believe in the church or any other random shit people spout. I mean seriously they make a big deal out of stuff, EX: You don't believe/know GOD=Automatic pass to hell. Geez these kind of people piss me off. My point is, God's existence matters not, what does matter is that you become a better person and try to make everyone around you happy. That's my idea of religion, however I do give some credit to God and stuff like that.
sounds good to me mate. being a good person is a philosophy we should all live by.
(the following comment is a joke)
this fucking post is really fucking offensive. im a fucking athiest as well and i'm really fucking offended that you would fucking join me. fuck you! fuck not being athiest! im fucking punching fucking jesus.
fake rant over.
I don't really believe in a god either. In a small way I do though, only because I'm afraid of dieing like everyone else. The lack of evidence keeps me from being religious, and personal beliefs like having better things to do keep me from going to church. Fuck that.
were you afraid of being born? coz you didnt know or have consciousness before it
What a coincidence! I am agnostic (playing it safe there...)
Personally, I'm christian, but I don't really think it's a bad thing to be an atheist. It's very important to welcome other ideas.
i believe in god but im not like the crazies that worship him nowadays. they take the bible so literal it is fucking hilarious. but one thing i always said about religion is that "Going to church doesnt make you a christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car"
hehe nice quote
I was once atheist as well, but through the laws of technology I now believe in Robotisisim, or something :3
praise megatron, god of us all
Atheism is beginning to go mainstream..
LOOKS LIKE I'LL HAVE TO RECONSIDER
God is for people who can't believe in themselves.
:D agreed
I congratulate you on being honest and frank on this issue. There is nothing wrong for thinking critically and rejecting fairy tales and the like.
As Dawkins mentioned, it seems odd that with the success of all the feminist and gay pride movements and so forth over the last century, atheists are still somewhat discriminated and often treated with contempt.
I feel fortunate that I live in a secular society where atheism is the norm. Somehow, while criticisms towards others' faith are such a taboo in most societies, the same could freely be done towards own absence of faith, and this seems particularly serious in the US.
The right to freedom of religion is now a constitutional principle in most jurisdictions, yet its counterpart, the freedom from religion seems often overlooked. Though unnecessary on strict legal terms, yet I look forward to seeing an UN declaration or a constitutional document that gives due respect to our freedom from religion.
dawkins rocks
I don't think "atheist" is the correct title then by what your telling me.
I think a more flamboyant terminology would be....
"Methodological Agnostic Academic"
if i could spell it i'd take it.
I hope u will get well soon dude.
God exists and i believe that he is waiting for you to change your mind.
ps: i love your job keep it up.
which god? the Christian one, the jewish one or the muslim one? or perhaps thor, or zeus? :P
i kid, but thanks :)
I am an orthodox Christian because it is the original religion, the Jesus Created.
1. no one can say that Jesus didnt really exist. because he did and there are many evidences.
2. the most of the other religions took many things from Christianism.
good luck with your life dude.
p.s: u can always say fuck no one is perfect :)
