lol, all these fools not worshipping Tezcatlipoca

NONE OF YOU WILL GO TO TLALOCAN
NONE

I'm pretty sure 'The Big Lebowski' and 'Scarface' kicked the shit out of Jesus when they first came out and probably ever since then.

I reckon he's in a coma

randy savaged stopped the rapture.. +1 FOR THE ATHEISTS FUCK YEAH!

congrats on joining the world's second biggest cult

You will rot in Hell!!! Our god Jesus will punish you!!!! Or not... :P

The most beautiful thing in this era that we finally can say that we don't believe in a higher power and we can get along with it. Atheists always existed, but they were forced to pretend to be believer (otherwise they died).

Hmmm I didn't think for a moment you were a believer. I mean we all seen Larry episodes :P

Aye, it's nice to see other people out there that can think through all the religious teachings that have somewhat clouded views for years. I think that religion was just used to make children behave and to explain the previously unexplainable. With modern science however, most of what was unknown is now known with more out there to discover. You being Atheist is actually decent in my opinion, and people shouldn't change their views about you just because of that. Now that THAT's written, keep animating man we all love your work!

ATHEISTS ROCK. Alright my arguments are like whatever who you are and what kind of religion you have, Just remember don`t put your self in the box, like be yourself. And I am atheist too, but still I believe many things and I am using many methods from budism and hindusim also from my country traditions. Those methods are some herbal healing, protections, meditations etc. And In my opinion most of religions are business. And Christians omg, I don`t want to talk about that religion ! BUSINESS UNDER BUSINESS !

well, I'm an agnostic, I believe that although there may not be a god and a religion and all that stuff but something has to be controlling it out there. The movie Donnie Darko talks alot about it.

JAZZA:
"Is it better to persist with a belief if it causes you frustration? Or a pattern of thought that is illogical but popular by culture? Christianity is popular because of the time we are in, but you or I are in such a scenario because of chance, and would have been just as likely to have been born believing in Zeus or Thor as we are to be Christian. The difference? One is popular at one time, and not in another."

Frustration...yes. There will be frustration.
But I think it is better to be frustrated from time to time than to just give up on questioning.
Popularity? Only by perspective.
If things seem illogical, then yes! You've observed something and are 'brave' enough or rather...'moral' enough to seek out the truth.

This is why I think 'salvation by faith' is bullshit.
If Jesus was real...I think he'd be VERY disappointed in the people who 'claim' to believe in him and still live sinful lives.
But does being an Atheist mean you do any better? Well, I dunno. Only if you continue to peruse Critical Thinking.

If being an Atheist is something you want to call yourself. Then fine.

Just don't give up on 'critical thinking'.

Because I think you're just frustrated right now.

I would highly encourage you study other religions as well as Christianity in more detail. Because whatever your clergy probably told you about swearing, critical thinking, salvation by faith, and studying other religions is full of horse shit.

It is my opinion: It is wrong to give up free thought and be governed by Religion or Government blindly obedient.

However...it is just as bad to denounce every Religion.

If you don't care about Religion, then what do you set your morals by?
Government?
Because you owe Religion that much.

ALL MORALS CAME FROM RELIGION.

But it is up to us to determine what morals are correct.

And you best use your brain when the time comes my friend.

I do not claim the title atheist to mean someone who gave up on belief, rather, someone who is now dedicated to logic and evidence and reason. If you really think morals came from religion you're silly. Religion comes from man, and half of the pure religious dogmas are extreme and counter productive. Try living by the old testament and then come back and tell me you're moral after you've killed gays, children And non believers. Why would it be wrong to be frustrated at that view?

I am glad you finaly ask yourself 'Whats god done for me to make me beleive in him?' when someone can answer that with more then just the answer life maybe then i will give a shit

Congrajewlashuns

Sorry, but you've spelled the title wrong.. :S

Anyway, even though I'm a Christian catholic, I pretty much shrug my shoulders at this. Our actions are just as important as, if not more important than, our faith. And it it clear that you, good sir, are an extremely compassionate, kind and helpful person.
So, keep up up the good work!

Thank you very much, and that is what life should be about

now the question is are you going to help other not in the name of god but for the sake of helping others? and good luck with being athiest its what you believe in that wins my respect even if i am christian and i dont belive my religoun is denominat over all in fact i research other religouns and compare with mine and use them in my book Void.

of course! i still believe love and compassion rule all and that as humans we have a responsibility to look out for one another even to our own inconvenience.

god=douche bag

hehe well put

I'm so glad!

Some people are stuck in the perception of God for their entire lives, and ignorance is NOT bliss. Honestly, if people believe in something that has no evidence, was created thousands of years ago and doesn't allow people to question it using basic and factual logic I don't know what to say.

i dismissed evolution for so long because it was my default setting. i feel so silly looking back at the way i was.

.P.S Most Christians denounce the first testament and say that they no longer follow it, due to some of the content such as Men > Women and beating slaves. But half of the new testament was forged by churches. Just something to think about...

Your Battle for Wayland Keep game sux!!!!1

as told by Jehovah himself. lucky i dont believe you any more!

I meant 'morals came from Religion' in a historical, anthropological sense.

Yes! Almost all past religions were a bit extreme. But as you can see, laws and morals are subject to change giving the situation and time.

Look at Martin Luther for example. And even many movements in today's Christian views support gays.

Though yeah...this is completely contradictory. But we do owe Religion some degree of accountability as it does play a huge role in culture and laws to create stability. If a community was small, chances are it's laws will be VERY ridged. Such was a time during the Old Testaments.

I'm glad I now understand where you stand when you use the title of 'atheism'. I was afraid you gave up on all beliefs. I have no reason to argue with you as it seemed we were agreeing on the same thing.

There's this guy on Newgrounds who's promoting Spirit Science. That's something you might be interested in.

Your opinion of his stuff?

everything you have said has proven my point, morals aren't fit to US by religion, rather we through history have fit religion to our morals, making human perception the channel through which morals are guided. LAWYERED.

my opinion is logic and the critical thinking, i do believe there are mysteries unkown to us but i believe a god-of-the-gaps way of thinking to fill these holes is unwise

I believe in God but I'm not going to tell you how to live your life. :P

I think this neurologist/psychiatrist Sigmund Freud explained that Religion stems as a parental figure. Adults of the eras evolved to mold their viewpoints of religion of how they were presented by their parents. And so on and so forth. I've noticed that Religion much more lenient today, or rather, it's attitude towards it.

I think that as time goes on, we might achieve a state of intelligence that is beyond irrational behavior or malicious meditative thoughts.
