how big is the file at the moment?
moonkey has the main .fla and all the codes and animations and sounds inside it.
if you are talking about the swf its 4-5 megs atm, but it will easily be around 10 because at the moment there are no minimovies or songs in the swf (im doing them seperately)
From what I can see from preview and these screenshots,the game is going to have some length indeed, yet with awesome graphics all the way. I'm really surprised this much is already done,thought it would take much,much longer. Glad to see you put so much in it,so i know it'll turn out great ;)

in a way it has, but spending 6-7 hours a day on it for 3 months would equal the year or so part time flashers put into epic games.

sweeeeeeeet! i like how even thought the quality's lowered on the people (compared to the movies) they still look better than everything ive ever done T-T anyway i cant wait to play it :D :D
haha yeah. frankly i hate setting quality to low on anything, but this game is pretty crazy intense graphics wise plus with sounds and music lag may IRK some people

I disagree, I think you're definitely one of the Newgrounds greats.I mean the paladin series is hugely famous and has it's own page, plus the composer was fucking amazing. Both the music and the movie are firsts on my favorites.
thanx heaps but... the paladin series isnt that popular compared to the really big stuff. i;m HOPING to change that with the game but, meh.
and yeah composer does have a good spot and got a great reaction so im endlessly grateful for that

yeah i know paladin hasn't got a huge audience. perhaps this game will change that. i can only hope.

OMG its already freaking december!!!!! Almost there! And I solved the customization dilema, Make it wen you beat the game you get a cheat to customze your dude, so it still follows the movie and everything but then after you beat it in a movie like mode, you can custom your dude. Or atleast put secret characters in (ie. Play as young auron through whole game) Also I think you should have a SUPER SECRET character if you dont take any advice, atleast put in playing as the SUPER SECRET CHARACTERS evil god and nice god (It wuz so long ago I watchd the movies, I cant remeber their names srry!) and give the SUPER SECRET CHARACTERS all diferent weapons and spells. srry im asking so much but I bow to you and crate a cult and get arrested for it if you do dat!!!!! Also, plz put in secret weapons, cause im the typa dude who gets tired of the same sword over and over and over again. The other thing I wuz amazed bywas the shadowing! Not many games, (or movies for that matter) have shadowing. Gud job. I also am mad at you though!!!! You draw better than me (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) Its looks like this game iz gunna be crazier than charlez manson! U know wut elze would be sick, If u could play searching for the sword!!!! Also I noticed different enemies, another thing few games have. I tell ya man this game is going down (and up) in history. Espesialy if you include 3 things 1. When talking, making different sentece choices That affect ending of the game (good, bad, neutral) for exe, good, mister evil doesnt kill crowey but he just flys away, bad, he kils crow neutral he just hurts the crow. #2 ties in with the first, talking to people, and not just stabbing zombies alot and 3, SKILL UPGRADES, learning new atks and spells. But above all I know that this game is gunna be frickin mind blowing and with Moonkey (master) and you(grandmaster) working on it, its gunna be like picos school on animation steriods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if theres one think i have learned working with moonkey, if either of us is grandmaster it's him. he can do anything with code. i tell him i want something, no matter how crazy it might be, he does it.
thanx for the suggestions, i think that the unlockable special characters it a GREAT idea and i will make some today! might be fun to kill undead as napoleon dynamite or george bush or pico.... :)
as for those three things, 1 i cant do coz i am keeping with the story of paladin 100%, which has already been laid out. 2 i sorta do, but auron cant talk back, people talk to him. and 3 i do do. you can customize spells and abilities.
modern codes is doable but would take to much time to set up an engine for from scratch and we only have a few weeks left to peice the rest together and get it all polished.
