to be honest, you'd probably get bored faster than you think constantly pumping out full episodes, especially with each one being bigger than the last. these little games are at least a good way to break it up

So you're going to do a major RPG :) why kind of rpg are you gonna put some lvl and skills for larry and other character ,, and if you're making this huge rpg i can't wait to see if its gonna be the same with the episode or you're other games .. like the bosses or ally character :) im a huge fan of rpg game and i can't wait to play ours when it will be done :)

So is the RPG going to be about Larry or is it separate? Also, will you be heading the RPG creation project or did you join the team as basically a regular member? BTW I love the series, especially the big evil dude singing Poker Face lol. I was a little disappointed when I read you were taking a break from Larry but I understand. I'm not gonna bitch at you for it mainly because I'm a game developer and I know what it's like to not get a break from a huge project, especially when you're on it alone. Anyway, keep up the good work...

Well, like any other fan in the world, I would say things like, "Oh, good luck" or "This is awesome," yada yada yada...
I can't exactly say that though (and I'm not going to get AS wordy as you were in your above post).
The fact that you've been making the fanbase wait for 4 month or longer periods of time means dragging along the fad known as Larry. Postponing projects aren't really helping much with the said concept. Just watching and looking at your episodes have given me great feelings about how well this community of Newgrounds can be. Now, I'm not really trying to be one of those guys that are like what you said (the one's that are saying stop doing games and the ".5" episodes), but just trying to push the boundry of your limitations a little bit. You put yourself up to challenges that are sometimes out of your range. Either that or you're going to end up, in the process of doing these mini projects, losing a dedicated source of fans of your "Larry" idea.
Mediocre at least, but you're going to light one giant angry fan firecracker if there's any more of these hold offs. These "Spin-offs" that you speak of are, to most of the fans, just a total waste of time and you'll just, in the end, be getting a coniption from them.
I do agree though, without these sources of entertainment, we wouldn't have any idea of the character Larry or how strong he really is. Your "Trophy Case" or Larry games, cartoons, hell, even comics just proceed your popularity to new heights, breaking off of the whole idea of meeting up to anyone's standards of the values of entertaining pieces of work.
What I'm basically trying to say is: just don't take so much time inbetween episodes to do these other projects. Pause a little bit on a game, and then see how much more you can get done with some of your episodes. You keep on trying to push yourself, but in the end it could just drag you down.

look i understand where you're coming from. My plan was such WELL before i ever animated an episode, back in 2008, and i knew it would be a long haul. as for keeping fans waiting, the fact is its not about what's convenient, more about what's POSSIBLE. even if i was to cut out games, maybe even the .5's entirely, the fact remains that i would be left to work on technically ONE single long drawn out plot, i did that with paladin, and it about killed me.
by opening up the world so much, although it takes a little longer to convey, i have a much easier time producing them, and much more enjoyable at that. and i NEVER make something i don't enjoy myself, that's the point, i'm not trying to spit out anything less then fun, and if some people dont like the games, or jokes, that's ok, coz we're all different.
truth is we can't tell how important the spin offs are until further progression. 2.5 has such an awesome story and funny plot i can't wait to convey! ever wanted to know a little more about pipsley the altar boy? father jiggadiah, and doug the town drunk and mcsweeny the bartender? it's the spin offs that make them more then random characters, and turn them into the essential fabric of Karryon.
i suppose that's what it comes down to, yes the series is called LARRY and he does carry a bulk of the story and is it's face, in the end my main goal isn't to share larry, it's to share his world, and i'm doing it the best way i know how. :)
I still haven't played the second game, gotta go do that...

It definitely is a good thing that you are putting in effort to expand Larry's world as well. Better than just ignoring it all or cramming it all in the middle of Larry's story. Besides the Normans were awesome! Take all the time you need for 2.5/3 though, waiting can be annoying but at least we know all that time and effort is going to improve the final product.
Looking forward to your big game project too. I'm sure there are some out there, but I don't recall seeing any games on NG with that many contributors. That'll be cool.
