How coincidental. I just had surgery on my knee this monday but it was for a vascular problem. And don't worry about after surgery... it's actually not as much pain as you'd think it is. You'd be on a bunch of pain pills :) But what do I know, its not the same type of surgery. So here I am, 4 days after, and I've been limping around my house quite fine really. :) All the best.
Oh forgot to mention, only thing you should worry about is if they give you a urinary catheter. That was *ahem* extremely uncomfortable.
