got a nice relaxing feel too it, and the drums come in at the perfect spot. it gets very repedative though so you need either a keychange or chorus of sorts. also some nicer VST's would bring it out but hey, we do what we can with what we got right! great work :)

"axhilirating... i cant spell"
great job. it was like a big adventure! thanks for taking me along the ride.
gotta love midi aye, makes all the fast notey stuff a LOT simpler lol.
the only crit i have to offer is it sounds quite mechanical at time like you feel like youre listening to a midi. still great work man.
Author's Response:
Yeah unlike real life, you can make things ridiculously fast without lots of vigorous training. Thanks for your time, and review! Go check out the others in the series if you like this one :D

hey man
i'm the one who took a snippet of this song for the composer, i didnt know it'd be well received as it was so i didnt ask permission, ontop of that i was young and dint think much. anyhow, thought i'd take the opportunity to thank you and apologise for not speaking to you about it beforehand.
i knew i was looking for a guitar song and i wanted one that really showed the appropriate emotion and level of quiet feeling this does, so thank you for making the best acoustic sound on the portal mate.
sincerely me
Author's Response:

thought provoking.... or is it?
Author's Response:
Haha Jazza, the feelings are mutual! There are lots of Orrs around, apparently one of the guys who did some stuff in fight club was named David Orr as well. Funny stuff!

the song had a nice rythm and feel, pretty diverse and stuff so good work friend.
The start was the best. the drums have too much of a 'midi' feel, apart from that it was good. good work!-

Author's Response:
I'm probably gonna find some better drum samples then. And watch some tutorials.
Thanks for the review!

Author's Response:

this has a catchy feel and sound. It has a very 'fake' feel though in that it sounds like a song from a gameboy game or something. don't take it as a bad thing, i mean if thats what you were going for then great!! otherwise, the timing's VERY rigid, so if you were to hand play sometimes or somehow get rid of that constant 'metronome' feel then i think this would be alot nicer. otheriwise i enjoyes listening to it ans was happy to review it!
have a good day =D

i love composing classical orchestral peices, but this is astounding.
wqas it done using a keyboards/stage piano?
or could have been rocorded... with an orchestra? wow, the fact that i cant tell should be a great compliment!!
Author's Response:
It's all MIDI based using VSTi's. The specific VSTi I used for this piece was Edirol Orchestral.
I step recorded all the parts for the entire piece (same way you graph out the note pitches and lengths on the Piano Roll in FL Studio) even though it's more time consuming that just playing it out on my keyboard, but I step record all my pieces because it makes them cleaner and perfectly on tempo.
Thanks for the review.

incredible mood and pace. This is something you can TELL is one of those 'lot's of work' submissions. Tell me (if you get the time) did you record your own percussion? what keyboard did you use? what key is it in?
its pretty kewl that you can make 4 descending chords so eerie and epic. Crisp sound quality and very nice use of layered instruments, in that theyre not all playing the same thing to lead to a crescendo.
Gratz on a fun peice of work and good luck on many more-
-JAZZA
Author's Response:
Hey, thanks for the review! I didn't record my percussion, and I was not using a keyboard for the sounds. Oh, and I believe it is in C-Minor.

strange how a song can be soothing and relaxing, but exiting at the same time!! its got great sound and clarity to it, good default sound level and all of the layers come together very nicely.
in 1:25 seconds in the syncopated rythem if a great break, then the piano and strings after that just makes it shine.
congratulations on a great song!
Author's Response:
Hi Jazza, wow and I see I'm the first review you've made! I'm honoured!
Thank you! and glad you liked it!
Peace Out!
