An overall pleasant surreal piece with good composition and color balance. There are places in your image where there is a small white gap between the color fill itself and the linework outside it. This can be annoying to get rid of but it's worth developing your style to exclude such errors. Your linework could also use some weight variation. Other than that you've done well, keep it up, thanks for sharing :)

For a first painting you appropriately picked a simple subject and took your time to represent it well. you've done so extremely well and have proven to yourself you have potential to challenge yourself! The image balance is good, the digital painting itself is good, keep up the good work and thanks for sharing! :)

There are some things working in this image's favor, and some things not so much. I'll get the crits out of the way first: It's a bit too asymmetrical, the anatomy of the muscles shown at the back of the head and neck are not fitting, and the piece is let down by lack of presentation, not so much environment, but how it's shown. That aside, the character has a really great silhouette, good strong features and a great style. Your painting is clean and works well and the overall image has a nice aesthetic. Good job, thanks for sharing and keep up the good work! :)

Great effort! It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. The asymmetrical composition works to add interest to the piece, and your coloring and linework are good for the speedy feel of the piece. Great effort, keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing!

The image tone is nice, though overall a bit simple and unambitious. Your image could be improved with more work on the environment, there isn't much happening here to compliment the piece. You might not need to add too much, but something simple to help balance the colors and lighting would significantly compliment your piece. The color balance works well and the character design is cute, also you do get extra points for it being Dota related. Thanks for sharing, keep it up!

Thanks Jazza ! :D

Not bad, the poses lack ambition, but they are well presented. I would caution in regards to your optimization. Be wary of misrepresenting your image - no matter how much work you put into it, if it's not properly optimized, a traditional image that isn't properly transferred into the digital format will look worse than it could, which is a shame to the work put into the image. I've created a video tutorial on addressing this issue, feel free to check it out on youtube (/watch?v=gJrgnxKehso). Overall, you've done well but your representation could you some work. Keep up the effort! Thanks for sharing :)

Not bad, but it's also a bit lackluster. The image is asymmetrically framed in a way that doesn't contribute to the piece. The shading and linework is fine, but the traditional image optimization also leaves something to be desired. A good effort, keep it up :)

The composition is the highlight of this piece, the color balance and linework are good too. It's clear to me that you really challenged yourself with this piece, you're trying various advanced techniques which are really hard to get right, and while some areas aren't perfect, the ambition and care taken bring it to a level of which you should be proud. Overall, good job, keep it up, and thanks for sharing :)

Stylistically very cool! Nice work :) Your piece holds its own fairly well in terms of its composition - the balance of where the viewerâEUTMs eye is drawn and how the piece is laid out is neat and compliments the image and style. The background you've got here is simple, but appropriate, and much better than excluding a background all together like many other pieces I see seem to do. The painting style you've gone with works really well with the cartoony style. Overall, great job, keep it up!

Simple and effective, good work :) Your image could be improved with more work on the environment, there isn't much happening here to compliment the piece. You might not need to add too much, but something simple to help balance the colors and lighting would significantly compliment your piece. The composition works fairly well, though it feels like this is a shot of a camera where the camera is facing 'up' just a little too much, IE too much room on top of the head, a little too much of the torso cut off. That aside, great work, keep it up!
